Dear Coz.  I send you underneath a few lines, found upon the
door of the H---- of C      , which I suppose was intended
for their knowledge and service, and therefore hope your
inserting them will oblige . . . 
  In antient times this honour'd H--se did hold
  Men who perfer'd  their country's good to gold;
  But now, alas !  this sacred H--se contains
  Those who would sell their very God for gains;
